Natalie Candrian, an industrial designer at Nike, came to Marco Murillo of Social Science Co. to build an online store showcasing her personal line of children’s soft-goods.
A talented graphic artist in her own right, Natalie brought much of the visual language to the table, and Marco helped her refine the layout for the Web.
A big challenge on this project was product customization. Not only did customized orders need to flow directly into the system, but Natalie wanted a visualization of the name on the product. I devised a non-Flash method utilizing jQuery and Typekit. This allows single solution that works well on desktops, tablets, and phones.
