Mira Kaddoura is a freelance art director formerly of the ad firm Wieden & Kennedy. Striking out on her own, she needed a website to showcase the impressive work she had done for clients such as Nike, Coca-Cola, and Target.
With an extensive portfolio that spanned television, print, and mixed-media, it was important to keep the navigation of the site as “flat” as possible and to make the work accessible. That task fell to the four person team of Mira, who acted as art director, designer Natsuko Pursell, producer Marco Murillo of Social Science Co., and myself.
Despite having a newcomer to the web in Natsuko, the novel navigation system came off quite nicely. I also created a new lightbox framework that stayed in keeping with the design of the site while making for seamless integration with Vimeo for the video playback.
